5GB increase free data?

Got a letter, my name and number and specifics telling me as a valued customer I am hereby receiving an extra 5 Gb ata absolutekly free through 2017.

 

After talking with customer service, they said only ig I increse my 15 Gb plan to 20 Gb plan for $30 ore a month will I get the free Gb

 

Huh? I have to pay another $30 a month for the free extra 5 Gb data?

 

How is this even legal?  I got my letter from Dana ***, Executive director, customer relationship Management.   Anyone else get this in the mail?

ATT never continues to surprise me with more UN-appreciation and clever sales tactics.

Data plans

Currently I have a unlimited Data plan,
Is it true that once my 2 yr contract is up, that att will not be renewing it with the same plan , I've had this plan since 2005 and have paid the premium is I use the data and phone or not, if that's the case I will surly go to another carrier after 16 yrs out of protest, I've been in business for over 30 yrs and have never renaged on a contract or agreement , if that's true that att is doing this u will surly be loosing a lot of clients

Rollover minutes limit ?

I have 15GB a month on data plan. This last month I only used about 1GB so I thought I should have 14Gb rolled over but I only got like 7.5GB of rollover.

Is there some limit on how much rollover is allowed? I do not see limit listed anyplace.

Data card

I purchased a 2gb data card about 2 weeks ago. My question is if there are a 1000 mg in 1 gb and my uses shows I have used 346.37 mg why does it show I am almost to my 2 gb? Accurate Text Log

Hello,

Are the text message log accurate or can it have incorrect tracking.  I see a text that came in 3 times from the same number but being told that only one text was recieved.  Can this be a possiblity?

Texts to one of my contacts showing up as emails

I'm having issues with texts that I send to my mom (also on AT&T, used to be on the same wireless plan, for what that is worth) being received as emails via text (not sure if it's SMS or MMS), like below:

 

From: (my number)@mms.att.net
Sent: Sat, 5 Dec 2015 14:00:11 -0800 (PST)
To: (her number)@txt.att.net
Subject:

>(message)

This mobile text message is brought to you by AT&T

 

We both have Samsungs, S6 Active for me, S5 Mini for her. This started happening when I got my new phone a few months back. Her texts to me show up fine, but still as from "(her number)@txt.att.net" even though I have her saved as "Mom" in my phone, with just her number. If I start a brand new text to her by just inputting her number manually, it will show up properly for her, but then subsequent texts are sent looking like emails. I called customer service, they weren't able to offer any advice.

 

I haven't had a chance to go through her settings, but can anyone offer any advice as to what to do to try to fix this? The only thing I can think of as a start would be to delete her contact info and any texts from her to start with a clean slate and see what happens then (maybe have her do the same thing?), but I feel like she has some setting in her phone that makes my texts show up this way. Thanks for any help.

AT&T Next vesus 2 Year Contract with unlimited data

Hi,

 

I visited one of the AT&T stores to discuss my options regarding a new phone. I am not due for an upgrade until March, but a cracked screen may force my hande. The store employee was trying to talk me into getting an AT&T Next plan, however he could not explain to me why it was a better option, other than the "unlimited data" on that Next plan is cheaper.

 

Can you please explain the difference between the unlimited data in the two plans? I have had unlimited data since my iPhone 3.

My LTE doesn't work

Can someone help or point me in the right direction? We activated service on October 20. My phone, in one specific part of town, will randomly not connect to data. It says it's fully connected to LTE but it will not load anything (I have an iPhone 6s Plus.) I have investigated this myself and found that when the internet doesnt work, its connected to band 5 LTE (other band is band 4 which works great.)

 

Numerous cases have been created, including 1 ICU case. They run remote diagnostics on the tower and say there is nothing wrong, but I know there is. Multiple people that I know have traveled to this area of town and claim their internet will not work. I don't know what else to do, I have spent countless hours trying to resolve this by using different APNs and even modding my carrier bundle file. Smiley Sad

 

My only other choice for cell service is Verizon but they cant port my number so its a no go. Can someone, anyone, help me? Is there anyway to block band 5 access on my phone? PLEASE HELP!

 

Also; turning off LTE and using the 4G HSPA+ works sometimes but not all the time, it is problematic too.

I am using XXX-XXX-XXXX@txt.att.net as an email address so I can receive emails as text messages at night for emergency calls but the text message barely resembles the email.  Instead of alphabetic letters it has symbols and the like.

iPhone 6S voicemail notification red dot

Much like other posts, since getting my 6s I have not had the visual voicemail dot on my display. Just tried reseting my network settings and no help.

This seems to be  a widespread problem with no apparent solution.

Between Apple and ATT, we, the customers, should be seeing more efforts to resolve this issue.

Rate increase, service decrease

I have been a customer for over 10 years and have an unlimited data plan. Of course even though unlimited, data speed is restricted if usage surpasses the preset limit. Now, in what is an attempt to get me to give up my unlimited data plan, AT$T feels the need to demand more money for the "unlimited" data plan I have had for over 10 years. The unlimited plan is actually very limited and now I'm forced to pay even more or give it up! Shame on geedy AT$T!!!

So can I really not connect my receiver to the Internet without a cinema connection kit? I have wireless Internet and can't get it connected. I have called direct TV several tines, have gotten several different answers and havenot gotten anywhere. Help!
